The Mustang - Where it all started...

Experience the journey, and see the transformation from the beginning to what she is today.

Feel and hear it for yourself, the motor roaring to life as the car takes off on its journey…

1970 Ford Mustang Fastback remodel

Originally imported from Maryland, USA by a friend, we had the opportunity to buy the shell of this 1970 Ford Mustang Fastback in 2015, along with a motor, gearbox, and several boxes of bits and pieces.

We slowly began restoring it back to its original glory. We’re not going to lie – we had a LOT of expert help! Finally, after five years, she was licensed and on the road. For the V8 fans out there, it sounds incredible, even better sitting inside!

For the mechanically minded, she has a reconditioned 302 Windsor V8, a C4 Gearbox, Hedman extractors and a Holley 670 CFM Street Avenger Carburettor. The seats and dash make it look like it rolled out of the showroom in 1970. A modern touch behind the back seat – a beefy Subwoofer powered by a Bluetooth Custom Autosound System, designed to look like the original AM radio, to help create the best possible soundtrack for your cruise experience!

Hopefully you’ll notice the license plate – ‘Blu Steel’. A nod to one of our favourite movies – Zoolander, specifically, Derek Zoolander’s classic look ‘Blue Steel’.

Derek Zoolander's 'Blue Steel' look...

He does it so well, and is the inspiration for the name on the number-plate ‘Blu Steel’.
